hi Liz,
alternately, you could buy another drive and boot from it instead, when you want to use that environment.
have an awesome day,

Thanks Bill. Also yesterday afternoon I was working with a local company and the president had a Mac with windows vm and talked about the complications. I am just going to buy an additional computer.

Hi Liz
Visual Studio is a real resource hog. You will need as much memory as your computer can use. Plus, you probably will need an external drive to run your virtual desktop on. At least that is my experience.

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Virtual machine to fevelop
Has anyone had any experience using a virtual machine to do VBA development on? I want to see if I can do that or if I need to buy a new computer. I also will want to install SQL server and visual studio. Any advice is highly appreciated.
