I had similar issues with Cylance Protect. My IT security group white listed a folder on my C drive where I could put my front end databases so they could run without interference from Cylance. I hope you are using something in place of Symantec. We used that product for years and I never had a problem with our configuration. Perhaps something can be adjusted that will allow Access to run correctly.

I was able to resolve the problem of MS Access crashing. The Symantec Endpoint protection was causing the problem. When I disabled it, the MS Access 2007 starting working normally. I have uninstalled Endpoint protection.
