RE: [MS_AccessPros] Re: can sql server store attachment data type?

Thanks for your help on this, Adam. Have you any experience in the conversion using SSMA? It would be very helpful if that utility could at least warn you of the conversion failure.

Bill

Yes/no,

There is no equivalent in MSSQL for the Access Attachment Field type. You can store binary Objects/attachments in SQL Server but not as attachments in the Access field type (Multi-valued field types are also not supported on SQL Server.)

Hi Crystal

I don't have a response for this:

>> just don't aim the water at my parts

But then that's just too funny! I once knew a girl who was very slender. She told me she had to run around in the shower to get wet.

This whole topic has become more entertaining than enlightening. But that's okay, too!

Duane - the no exhaust fan thing just might be what I'm looking for. My home is
a modest 900 sq ft which is fine by me, but it might just benefit greatly from a
no-exhaust zone in the winter.

This must be an ailment of computer users. My eye doc suggested
http://www.systane.com/ for my chronic dry eyes. My employer had been a part
owner of Alcon so the drops were fairly inexpensive at our company store. It's a
good thing I stocked up since many other cheaper drops aren't the same.

We don't run the bathroom exhaust fan in the winter during showers to add
moisture back to the air.

Andrew,
Thanks for your reply. One more question, what if users try to add more  pictures in the attachment. Is anyway to prevent this happen? So users can only add one picture in the attachment field. Thanks in advance.

Bill, THANKS!

Okay, you want to know something embarrassing?  I selected the tab control to see what the name was so I could follow this syntax and guess what?  I had named it "Archiving."  So  yes, I was effectively setting the whole thing to invisible.

In my defense.  I have multiple eye issues with the latest being meibomian gland dysfunction.

Arrgh.

You have to refer to the tab control's Pages.

Me.myTab.Pages("Archive").Visible = False

[MS_AccessPros] Re: can sql server store attachment data type?

Yes/no,

There is no equivalent in MSSQL for the Access Attachment Field type. You can store binary Objects/attachments in SQL Server but not as attachments in the Access field type (Multi-valued field types are also not supported on SQL Server.)

Andrew Craven

RE: [MS_AccessPros] Re: weird page visibility issue

Bill, I'll follow this thread because eyes for those of us working long hours on computers is an issue.

Are you getting treatment for your syndrome them?

I also have a lot of floaters and found a doctor in VA who has been doing surgeries with a different type of laser with a 95% success rate.  I had a recent PVD in just the last few weeks so I've got a bunch more.  At least it isn't what it could be since my lenses were replaced from cataract surgery.  Oh the woes.  I won't even begin to bother you with the rare AZOOR  I got in 95.

I can sympathize. I've got dye eye syndrome and blur up from time to time so much I can't read anything on my monitor.

Just remember, a tab control has pages. Why they are not called tabs, Mosca don't know. Mosca only pawn in game of life.
