Jim
I've uploaded a file called basDatabaseInfo.bas to our Files>Modules and Classes folder. Download it and import it into a database by going to the code window and clicking on File>Import File...
You can manually set some database properties by going back to the database window and clicking on the File tab. To the right you will see a thumbnail of the database. Click on the "View and Edit database properties" I usually put the title under the Summary tab. There are also a bunch under the Custom tab where you can add whatever property you want.
Regards,
Bill

Bill,
How do you call the title? You now have me curious.

Hi Bill. It's at the very top in the middle above everything. Weird because today it is hanging around instead of coming and going like it was last week.
You know though, last week they were back end copies but I don't think that would have anything to do with anything. I'll try to screen shot it, but I'm sure it won't work.

Where is the database name being displayed? I usually put the application name in the database Title property and then call a little function to display it in a text box or label.

Bill

Pros, I've noticed that sometimes the name of my database is posted and sometimes not. Anyone notice this and/or have any answers or ways to! tweak it so that it shows all the time?
I stay in the one database and it goes away if I do some type of action and regardless of me changing ribbon items, it is gone. Then, if I do a compact/repair, it reappears until I do something else. Annoying, particularly when it really matters because you are wanting to mirror a database and you don't know which window you're in. I suppose you could create a temp table that says the name of the db so you know, but - you know...
Respectfully,
