[MS_AccessPros] odbc connection

Hi all-

I have a 2010 Access database with the forms and reports in a front end and the tables in an Access backend that link to the front end. My question is about my need to link to a few tables in a SQL Server database.  When I follow the ODBC wizard in Access, I don't know if I should pick User DSN, System DSN, or File DSN.

The users use an .accde copy on their desktop.  The SQL Server is on a separate server from the server that has the network of users.  Some users are off site and log into a terminal server (me included).  I have little knowledge of networks and servers so I don't know how to make the ODBC connection so that it works for everyone.

Any guidance would be very, very appreciated!

Thanks,

Elizabeth
