I have done a number of inventory DBs, and am currently working on one now.
I would be happy to help.
Since renaming fields once a lot of development is done is really difficult, I would take Duane's advice and
rename your table fields immediately.
DATE is a reserved word. Since I always save the date of every primary record saved,
most of my tables have a field called 'CreateDate'.
