[MS_AccessPros] RE: SQL Code Corruption

 

This is one of those cases where Access' Query Designer is not the right way to go. Any change you make in the design window prompts Access to "optimise" the SQL and it does tend to expand simple AND/OR constructs into seemingly complicated (and certainly longer) sets of conditions with repeated tests.

For the record, SQL Server Management Studio also does this if you use the Query Designer.
