I'm using Access 2003
I am working on a project to track parts used in our shop. I have a table with all the parts and associated info about each part.
I also have a table for the 10 machines in our shop and a table for the 12 techs names.
I have created a database called inventory and have added these tables in it.
I have also created a table called Usage that will track parts used on each machine based on the field entries below
date
machine
tech
partno
location of the part
quantity used
quantity left in the bin
amount the computer shows
When I enter the part number, I would like the location to automatically be filled in from the parts table parts table
Basically I'm looking to create a full blown inventory database to track parts in, parts out, parts out for repair
parts used on each machine and this is just scratching the surface. Other than purchasing a database can anyone
help out?
