Re: [MS_AccessPros] Form_Error Code and SaveIt Function

David-

Correct.  There is no need to include SaveIt or Form_Error in an unbound form.  An unbound form has no Record Source, so there's nothing to save.  And the Error event traps database errors, so with no Record Source, there is not much likelihood of that.

John,
I have several forms which are unbound and only used to place cascading list boxes which are then used to open bound forms.

I am still weak on understanding errors and handling them and want to verify something.  For these unbound forms, there is no need to include your SaveIt function is there?

Same question for your Form_Error code.  On an unbound form, will your Form_error code catch any errors?

These are both from your Contacts sample database.

Thanks,
David
