Re: [MS_AccessPros] Which version of MS Access to buy?

Hi Mike,

I use 2013 on my development machine and would recommend it. I tested 2016 but had issues (ie: with graphing) so stepped back. Be sure to get Office 2013, not just Access.  The whole suite needs to be the same version to work together. Unless you specifically want 64-bit, and will change API calls, it would be best to install the 32-bit version.

things are changing with outlook ... but you should be ok with local mailboxes.  Access cannot directly get to the outlook cloud stuff.

Due to personal issues I have not done any Access programing in about 2 years.  It is past time to start working and moving forward on my project again.

My initial thought was to buy an old copy of Access 2010, as that is what I was working with before.  Is that the best plan or should I upgrade to a newer version.

Small application run on my desktop, tracking jobs, and work done for a small plumbing company.  Will want to connect to Outlook so that invoices can be emailed out.

Thanks Mike
