The attitude has been something like, we tried this 10 years ago and it didn't work. These tools are in the business side, but I have a good connection on the IT side who has made this very accessible which has made a difference, too.
I do want it to work well tho. We have a sandbox set up to start some testing in.
You are correct that a bad outcome will be a big set back. I did this a number of time years ago but not at all in the last 8-10 years. Any and all insights are welcome.

My thinking is a real SqlServer is a better option as this is a large financial institution which treats their servers much better than their shared drives. Does that compute for you?
