vbCrLf only works inside VBA.

Jim-

You're putting this in the Control Source, right?

When I go to the Immediate Window and type:

?"Absence Database " & " " & Chr$(13) & Chr$(10) & "1) FinalTermsAndTransfersOut-ALL" & " " & Chr$(13) & Chr$(10) & "2) tblPollyDepartments" & " " & Chr$(13) & Chr$(10) & "3) qry_33NewHiresFinal " & " " & Chr$(13) & Chr$(10) & "4) Something else"

.. and press Enter, I get:

Absence Database
1) FinalTermsAndTransfersOut-ALL
2) tblPollyDepartments
3) qry_33NewHiresFinal  !
4) Something else

John,

Thank You.  I now am seeing the exact expression with the chr$(13)....... It is not in the multiline format. Is there something I did wrong? It is a text box with rich text set up.

Don't put brackets around CHR$ - Access will think that's a field or control name.  Try this:

="Absence Database " & " " & Chr$(13) & Chr$(10) & "1) FinalTermsAndTransfersOut-ALL" & " " & Chr$(13) & Chr$(10) & "2) tblPollyDepartments" & " " & Chr$(13) & Chr$(10) & "3) qry_33NewHiresFinal " & " " & Chr$(13) & Chr$(10) & "4)

Hel! lo all,

I was wondering how to make a t! ext box with multi lines. I tried to use " & [Chr$](13) & [Chr$](10) & "1), but I am getting #Name? error.

for example I am trying to put on a form a list of objects for reference to the users.

="Absence Database " & " " & [Chr$](13) & [Chr$](10) & "1) FinalTermsAndTransfersOut-ALL" & " " & [Chr$](13) & [Chr$](10) & "2) tblPollyDepartments" & " " & [Chr$](13) & [Chr$](10) & "3) qry_33NewHiresFinal " & " " & [Chr$](13) & [Chr$](10) & "4)

Thank You for your help
