Re: [MS_AccessPros] Export to Excel greyed text

Robin-

Just tested, and that option is not available (checked but you can't clear it) if you try to export a form or report.  You can clear it if you try to export a table or a query.  Are you trying to export a report?  Instead, export the report's Record Source.

If you're using the User Interface (External Data / Export / Excel), then make sure you do NOT check the box "Export data with formatting and layout" on the first panel of the export wizard.

I have a dataset that I need to export to Excel.
Using the facilities provided by Access gives me the data but it is
in a very grey colour.
What have I done to cause this and how do I correct my mistake?

Many thanks,
