RE: [MS_AccessPros] Query no longer returning results

Doyce, RIGHT!

You know at church last week we had some technical difficulties, and the worship associate apologized – all I could say was that I liked them because it gave it dimension.  When I was contemplating snafu's on the patio later that day with clouds and a glass of wine, I thought about the time I used to belly dance as a performer.  I didn't remember the times things went off perfectly as much as I remembered all the little funny times to reminisce over.  The time I threw my cane in the audience, the time my belly jewel bounced across the floor, the time I pulled someone's veil from them with my veil, the time I had a scarf drop off in a heavily choreographed routine, the time the music stopped in the middle of a routine.  Even the storm that hit a tree and sent a flaming branch flying.

That's what we remember.  The dimensionality to our experiences.

Nice chatting.  Now I gotta get back to work and try to strive for this thing called perfection – or at least excellence anyway.  J

Liz,

I'm glad my "Duh" moment wasn't a total waste and at least it made you smile. Sometimes we look and can't see the forest for the trees. Hope you have a great day!

What would we do without this group?

Doyce.  Thanks.  This made me smile.  I went the rounds the other day on something that I could clearly see was not on a pdf report.  They kept saying it was, and then I realized that my scroll on the mouse kept snapping past that data.  Once I put the pdfs in a 2 page mode I could see it there.

Geez.  J

John,

I feel really stupid. The query is working just fine. I didn't scroll down far enough. I have a lot of part numbers in my inventory without any quantity on hand. I've added criteria now that eliminates parts without quantities.

I hope your day has gone better than mine has started. Thanks for waking me up!

When there is no matching row in the Totals query for a particular part number, you should get zero for OnHandExtension because OnHand will be Null.  Are you sure there are matching rows?

Hello Pros,

I created the following query this morning and it gave me the results I wanted. The I added it to another query and! now it no longer gives me any values in the onhand field or t! he onhandextension field. The query qryQOH is a totals query. Here is the SQL of both:

qryQOH:

SELECT [Part Stock].PRTNUM_06, Sum(Nz([QTYOH_06],0)) AS OnHand
FROM [Part Stock]
GROUP BY [Part Stock].PRTNUM_06;

qryProjectedInventory1:

SELECT [Part Master].PRTNUM_01, [Part Master].ONHAND_01, qryQOH.OnHand, ([Cost_01]/[cstcnv_01]) AS Cost, [Part Master].TYPE_01, [Part Master].BOMUOM_01, [Part Master].PMDES1_01, Round(Nz([onhand],0)*[cost],2) AS OnHandExtension
FROM [Part Master] LEFT JOIN qryQOH ON [Part Master].PRTNUM_01 = qryQOH.PRTNUM_06;

I don't have any clue why it stopped wor! king.
