Re: [MS_AccessPros] #Type! error on control for a report

Bill,

Have you tried placing the concatenation in a calculated column in the report's record source:

To: [First Name] & " " & [Last Name] & ", " & [Dept #]

What is the data type of [Dept #]?

Bill,

What is the name of the text box? I assume it's not the same as the name of one of the fields.

BTW: It looks a bit chilly back home.

Hello all,

We run a report once a year and we are at that point. But I am getting a #Type! error on the report. I am concatenating several field from the source.

I have checked the names and spelling
I have deleted the text box and re-added the expression
If I put just one field it works correctly but not if I add the other fields

something is causing it to error out.

Here is the expression
=[First Name] & " " & [Last Name] & ", " & [Dept #]

what seems to be the issue here?

Thank You So Much for the help.

Jim Wagner
