Bill-

A "lookup" combo box should NOT be bound to any field on the form.  If there is a Control Source defined, you're updating (or attempting to update) the current record every time you choose a new value to search.  Make sure your search combo box is not bound.

I created a form and a sub-form (in Access 2010) which are linked by the Job Code (as the Master field) on the main form and the similar field (as the Child field) on the sub-form.  I have created a one to many relationship (Enforcing Referential Integrity, Cascading Updates and Cascading Deletes) between the tables used for the main and sub-form.  Using a Dropdown box in the main form as the control to retrieve the related data in the sub-form works as I expect.  When I close the form the following Information/Error box appears,” The changes you requested to the table were not successful...or redefine the index to permit duplicate entries and try again."  I am not making any changes on either the main or sub-form.  What would cause this? And, how do I prevent this in the future?  I have not run across this when I have done similar work in previous versions on Access.  Thanks in advance,
