why does "multi-user" preclude the temporary table idea? Think of it as a transitional table, an Access table to hold temporary data, and it can handle multi-user environments.
I'm fairly sure it can be made to work, However, i assume I don't know enough about your particular application to be able to judge if the idea would work or how to make it work.
