I do have a table called tblUnit which contains the unit information. So I would add unitid to tblTenants and then differ between them by a relationship ID, identifying them as HOH, Wife, Son, Etc.

Hi Art,
I would expect you have a table of units (housing or whatever) that uniquely identify a habitable dwelling. I would create a table of inhabitants with every possible tenant that you need to track. Then create a junction table that stores at least the primary key from units and the primary key from inhabitants. I would also add fields that store relationship to primary, from and to dates, last update, and maybe more.
Regards,
Duane

That is why I am asking for help. That could very well happen. But it is also understood that people living with the tenant may not be related but they need to be accounted for.

Art,
What would happen if you had 2 HH members? Both on the lease or rental agreement and they are not related?

I need to set up a couple of table in which I track a primary tenant information but also need to track their household members. I thought of a main tblTenant for the Primary tenant (tenant Head of Household) and a table tblHHMembers to track the household members but that seems to me that would be redundant information because we need to track SSN, Relationship, DOB, etc for each member just like we do for the Primary Tenant. Have you seen any example of this or have any ideas?
Thank you,
