RE: [MS_AccessPros] Output issues today

Microsoft are aware of the issue: Technet Blog post. It is also no longer available.

Everyone received an update. The IT guy came by and compared machines and found an update. he uninstalled it and now it works. But the issue is that the server will automatically try and update the update. Therefore I am down for the day until they can talk information systems into letting this update not be a mandatory update.

Or did everyone get an auto-update from MSFT last night?  If you find recent updates, try backing them out one at a time until your database works again.  Then let everyone else know to uninstall that update.

Jim,

Has anything changed on your network, permissions, Active Directory groups? Any changes to any of the servers? Have you tried creating a database on your C drive and seeing if you are getting the same errors? I'm thinking out loud here.

John,

But it is happening on multiple individuals computers and multiple Access Databases,  across the different network drives. It did not do this yesterday.

Oh, my.  It sounds like your install of Access is corrupted or your database is corrupted or both!

Start by opening Access without any database and then do a Repair on the install.  I that seems to go OK, then create a new blank database and import all the objects from your old one.

Good luck!
