My method requires a shared folder with the VBScript and a copy of the fronted end zipped up with whatever other files you need like the shortcut icon. SharePoint might work, but I've never used it for that.

What do I do if some of the users don't have access to the same set of shared folders? They do all have access to the SQL server where the BE is. Can I do something there? Do I need to use SharePoint?
