As a matter of fact the text box's value is a Tempvars which was created and captured after the combo box was updated. The trouble is, the combo box has an On Change event procedure, so each time if the focus was shifted away from it (to show the text box) the error 2185 will pop up. In fact I can simply just drag the combo and place it above the text box. However this will show both the combo and the text box, it just does not look that pretty to me J Anyway I think I will set the combo box up, displaying multiple columns like what Duan suggested.
