Re: [MS_AccessPros] Grouping and Sum on a report

Phucon,

You can add a text box in the Department header:

Name: txtDeptCount

Control Source: =1

Running Sum: Over All

Add a text box to the Report Footer:
Control Source: = txtDeptCount

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Grouping and Sum on a report

I am working on a report which contains company name, department name and employees... The report has the format as shown below. My current task is to add a total that counts the number of Departments.

I placed a text box in the Department Footer and have the control source as =count([Department]). However, it looks like it's totaling the number of employees not the department. What is the correct way to handle this?

Phucon.
