RE: [MS_AccessPros] Re: Importing emails from Outlook Sent Items folder

Liz - When my user base was just one group of people that pretty much stayed the same, I just told each one to click the "Allow" button. But when the number of users started to grow and most of my apps used email in some form or other that was no longer practical. And vbMAPI does not require any DLL install. It just works.

Glad I could help, Ray. For Outlook my go-to site is http://www.outlookcode.com/code.aspx

I stopped using regular Outlook automation because of the security warning that pops up whenever you try to access certain parts of the Outlook object or send an email. I use EverythingAccess.com's vbMAPI which not only gets around that but let's you use Access 2003 with Outlook 2007 and higher. It's not free but it is well-worth the price.

Hi Bill

Just as I was gathering all my information to post! , you solved it!

You clever, clever man !!!!!

Thank you sooooooo much

The correct use of .Recipients (not what I did and received "Error 5" which didn't help at all) gives me what I need.  How can I learn more about the contents and correct use of the .parameters within objects?

Thanks for all your help.

Best regards

Ray
