Thanks for your help on this, Adam. Have you any experience in the conversion using SSMA? It would be very helpful if that utility could at least warn you of the conversion failure.

Yes/no,
There is no equivalent in MSSQL for the Access Attachment Field type. You can store binary Objects/attachments in SQL Server but not as attachments in the Access field type (Multi-valued field types are also not supported on SQL Server.)
