Clive, I haven't been successful having the back ends be more recent versions than the front ends, although I've been successful at having the front ends be more recent than the back ends.

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Migrating to Access 2007
Hi All,
As I understand it, if I upgrade an Access2003 BackEnd + FrontEnds to Access2007, then I will lose the benefits of using a .MDW group file for User Level Control.
Also I get the benefit of a more secure(?) PassWord that is common to all users as part of the BackEnd file encryption which all users will know.
Is it possible to upgrade the BackEnd to 2007 and keep the FrontEnd as an Access2003 .Mdb to keep the Front End User Level Control, and to pass the backEnd password using VBA?
I also wish to allow two users to creat queries in the FrontEnd.
Help would be appreciated.
Regards, Clive(Williams)
