We currently have a database fe/be.
The front end is located on the individual users computers Office 2013.
The back end is located on Office 365 / SharePoint as lists.
Normally 4-5 Concurrent Users
The database is working with no problems.
We have continually encountered problems with connectivity, loosing connections to the SharePoint Server.
And Slow Speeds have been an issue. We have tested and are satisfied with all internet connections, security, and speed.
Download Speed = 50mb download and 11mb upload.
Computers are hardwired into the Modem, (not using wi-fi)
Although we are competent with Access and local servers, we have not done much with back ends on the cloud.
We have given up on the Office 365 / SharePoint for storing and linking to the BE. (also Backing up your BE is difficult)
We are looking at using. SQL Server Management Studio to manage and test while using SQL Server Express .
Does anyone have any Ideas of a better way to go? Or any suggestions at all to help with the speed and reliability?
I just thought I would ask Prior to starting.
