RE: [MS_AccessPros] Fast Query Access

Art-

Sure. You can put custom commands on the QAT (Quick Access Toolbar) - it's
the little toolbar above the Ribbon next to the "Office" button in 2012 or
the "Open" button in 2010. First, create and save a macro that runs your
query. Then click the little down arrow next to the QAT and select More
Commands... That should take you to the Access Options dialog and the
Customize the Quick Access Toolbar window. In the Choose Commands From
drop-down, select Macros, then select your new custom macro in the list and
click the Add >> button to put it on the QAT. Click OK, and your macro
should appear as a button next to the default Save, Undo, and Redo buttons.

P.S. Folks on the list - don't ask me how I manage to remember obscure stuff
like this. I have no clue!

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Fast Query Access

Is there a way that I can run a query from the office ribbon? Instead have
to go to the Navigation pane all the time?

Thanks,
