Hi Steve
I believe I have seen a situation where a continuous form with no RecordSource (RecordSource was set in Open or Load) opened as a very small rectangle. I thought it might have been related.
I'm glad the problem has gone away at least J
Warmly,
Graham

Hi Graham,
Thanks for following up, but . . . in the process of trying to develop a functional form I appear to have deleted the misbehaving form.
I did have code in the open and load events, not that it matters much now. I tried AutoResize yes and no with the same results.
I regret having lost it, I would like to have leaned what was causing the form's ill behavior.

Hi Steve
Do you have any code in the Form_Open or Form_Load event procedures? Is the AutoResize property set to "Yes"?

Graham

would open and occupy about half of the screen -- that's what I want it
to do. Now it opens minimized with the -squareX icon in the upper left
of the Access screen. Except there is a sliver of the form protruding
below the -squareX icon which I can grab with the mouse and drag the
form to a normal viewing size. Opening the form from VBA or the
navigation pane produces the same minimized form. Opening the form in
design from the navigation pane produces a correctly sized form. I have
saved the form when it is correctly sized in design mode but to no
avail. It is a split form I made in Access 2016 using Create => More
Forms => Split Form.
Is there a property I have inadvertently misconfigured that causes this
behavior? Advice as to how to get the form to open to the desired size?
Thank you.
Steve
