[MS_AccessPros] Form opens minimized

 

I have a form that was functioning normally until this afternoon. It
would open and occupy about half of the screen -- that's what I want it
to do. Now it opens minimized with the -squareX icon in the upper left
of the Access screen. Except there is a sliver of the form protruding
below the -squareX icon which I can grab with the mouse and drag the
form to a normal viewing size. Opening the form from VBA or the
navigation pane produces the same minimized form. Opening the form in
design from the navigation pane produces a correctly sized form. I have
saved the form when it is correctly sized in design mode but to no
avail.  It is a split form I made in Access 2016 using Create => More
Forms => Split Form.

Is there a property I have inadvertently misconfigured that causes this
behavior? Advice as to how to get the form to open to the desired size?
