You asked if we had any ideas. If you are using a third-party add-in then I would be isolating its performance. You specifically mentioned this add-in. So why are you not exploring this as the cause?

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] MS Access too slow on new remote (hyper v) computer
Hello all,
We are experiencing overly slow behavior of MDB files on remote computer.
I believe it is some strange MS Access problem.
That has nothing to do with bad database design or poor coding skills.
To test
=======
I used a wonderful tool from... ( a self contained MDB file with no Linked Tables )
http://pcesoft.com/Access-Spell-Checker-Tool-Source-Code.html
I entered very long text into it - some 5000 words
( copy pasted contents from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattle )
On my local PC it took 1 minute and 40 seconds to complete the spell check.
On the other hand, ( the new remote PC )
Same spell check tool, took 5 minutes to finish..
Local PC:
Access 2007 on Windows 7
Intel Core i5 2400CPU @3.1Ghz with 16Gb RAM
Remote PC:
MS Access Office 2003 with SP3 (32bit)
Remote Desktop
Windows 2012 R2 (64bit) (hyper-v)
Intel Zeon E7 4860 @2.27Ghz with 50Gb RAM
Any ideas?
Thanks
Ozair
P.S. On remote PC, I tested Access 2013 64 bit as well. It was even slower - took 6 minutes.
