Access 2016. I have a split database that will not run the switchboard on 1 laptop. It runs on several other PCs with no problems. I have other split databases where the switchboard runs fine on this laptop. When the switchboard opens, it only shows 1 button with no descriptions. I suspected corruption so I created a new db and imported all the objects. No joy. When I try to run the accdb instead of the accde I get a runtime error 429, ActiveX component can't create object. When I click debug I get a highlighted line "Set rs = CreateObject (ADODB.Recordset"). I"ve checked the references. They match. I've run Office repair. I've registered DAO360.dll. I'm not sure what else to try.
