Just to be clear, I receive these xml files from a diagnostic lab. I have passed a few through an online verifier that shows no errors. This indicates that they were transmitted intact.
that I can import another xml file from another source shows my Access xml importer is working for that type of
xml variant. So perhaps UTF=8 is the problem in access?
