I've been challenged with the task of comparing 2 bills of material looking for differences in qty, cost, parts in bill 1 and not in bill 2 and vice versa. So far I have exploded the bills down to parts into 2 temp tables. Now I need to compare the two tables. I'm asking for suggestions as to how to approach this. The end goal is a report that details only the differences. Each task alone seems pretty simple and could be done with sub reports. Is this the best way or is there a better one?
