John, answer to the Why question:
I have a form called navpane in my app which is actually an improved version of the database window.
From this manipulate all objects in my db like forms, queries modules and tables.
A thing I missed in the current msaccess navigation pane was the option to sort objects by date of last change.
My own navpane does that, and worked fine until I switched to a split database ...
