Modal = Yes alone doesn't halt the code. You must open the form WindowMode:=acDialog.

Bob - I'm pretty sure you are right, but I haven't used pop-ups in a long time. If you open the pop-up as in Dialog mode instead that also stops the code in the calling form until the dialog form closes. That's the way I usually do things.
