Thank You Duane, I wanted to make sure I was thinking right. It is Monday after all.

Jim,
A Sort doesn't need to be added that would duplicate the Group. There is a built-in assumption that if a report is grouped by a field, it is automatically sorted by that field. Sorting is used when you don't want or need to create group headers or footers.

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Group, Sort and Total window for reports question
Hello all,
If there is a group on a report with A on top, does there need to be a sort added to sort by the field. For example we have ServiceUnit grouped with A on top and then DepartmentName groped with A on top. Do we need to add a sort for these again after the groups?
Thank You
