It was tough to come up with a title for this.
I have a Voter Registration database that I am given. I try to match it with Contacts given me by a variety of sources. The only way I can match this is by name (in this case, I don't have addresses).
I do a match on first name and last name and get a decent hit rate. Most of the non-matches are things like Don/Donald, Betty/Elizabeth, Dave/David, etc. What I would love to do is set up a table of common nicknames and run the comparison against the different combinations. The table is easy but I can't think of a way to make the query work. Any thoughts?
Thanks
