I have a form which is the parent to a set of subforms contained in tab control. I understand the linking of the subform to the parent. Everything works great at that point; however, is there a way to also have one of the subforms linked to another subform. Example: the parent form is associated with a taxpayer (contains all the identifying information about taxpayer) and one of the subforms contain information about billings associated with the taxpayer. A second subform contains info about any protest associated with the billing. Currently, the protest subform is only displayed with the billing form shows that a protest is associated.
All the forms (parent and subforms) are linked with a taxpayer id field. The protest subform is only shown when the billing form indicates a protest, these two forms have a current field (billing id).
I am trying to ensure that the proper protest is displayed on the form for the selected bill. Multiple bills can be associated with the taxpayer and protests may not be filed for each bill.
Hope I explained the issue and hope there is an easy solution. Working with MSAccess 2010 on a Windows 7 system.
