I would start with the Northwind database included with every version of
Access. Should get you started...

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Help with inventory access database
Hello everyone, I need some help, I am wondering who can help.
I need to see a sample database of an inventory application.
I have an idea:
Tables: categories and products
Tables: Purchase and sales.
I need each transaction on the purchase table to increase the quantity on
hand on my products table.
I need each transaction on the sales table to debit the quantity on hand on
the products table.
You folks get an idea of what I am trying to do.
Does anyone have a sample database I can use to start up?
Thank you very much.
