[MS_AccessPros] RE: RE: Help with system message

 

I don't think you can trap it. The action is not in a form event as far as I know. It's a JET/ACE error. The only place that might work is the form's Error event. Is the default value set in the table or the form? If it isn't at the table level put it there because it sounds like the boolean (bit) is getting passed as a null which Access can't handle in a bit field. Good Morning John,
There is one field that has a default value. The field is BOOLEAN with a
default value of 0. I do use a couple of global variables but they are not
accessed until ready to post the new record. The rest of the fields are
strings and the autonumbered index.
