Rod-
I've seen that before, and I'm trying to remember the cause. Do you have
Default Values set for any of the fields in the table?

Subject: [MS_AccessPros] Help with system message
Hi All,
I am receiving an information type message when entering data on a form.
The form is launched by selection of a button. The form is used to enter
information about a new owner to a parcel of land. When the associated
table is empty and the first char is entered the following message is
displayed:
You tried to assign the Null value to a variable that is not a Variant
data type.
I am not sure where or why the issue is being generated. I have tried using
break points in the code put they are never reached. There is no code
associated with the OPEN or LOAD events or the CURRENT event. Only event
being used is BEFORE UPDATE but it is triggered after the message.
ACCESS 2010 on Windows 7
