Re: [MS_AccessPros] Adding security

Do I put the hidden fields on the mainform or the navigation form? My main menu is a navigation form with the child form being called home.

Actually, I used something similar to the Log On Form in one database and the other one in another database. Depends on what the person wants. Also, the one on f10 uses the Window Log On, that way they don't need to log on to open the database. That particular Client has users that log on about 20 times a day so having them type a password every time was not an option.

Thanks for the tips, are you using the LogOn Form (f7) in combination with f10?

I need to add some measure of security onto my 2013 database. I need login which include username and password and also a way to restrict access to forms and reports based on like a group the user belongs to. I kind of looked around on our site but did not really find anything that suits my needs. Do you have any samples that I could possible look at? Thank you, Arthur Lorenzini Sioux Fall, SD
