[MS_AccessPros] Linked table problems

 

Hello all,

So I was finally given the go ahead to slowly change all of our databases to a FE and BE solution one by one after testing for a month each database. They did not want to do it because they said it is wrong to do and it is not stable. I am looking really silly now because I created the FE and the BE and I thought it was working with the linked tables. Until today a report came up with incorrect data. So I opened the FE to see the date on the table and it was last modified 5/10/2017. Another table had todays date. the other 2 tables have older dates. So I opened the BE and I received a nasty message

I see a READ ONLY This database has been opened read-only. You can only change data in linked tables. To make design changes, save a copy of the database. with a Save As... message at the top.

 So I send 4 tables to this BE database each morning, and never received an error.

So how do I make the database so that the tables get updated so the tables get refreshed and the reports work.

I am assuming because it is read only nothing is happening.
