Select the label and Cut (CTRL+X) it to the clipboard. Select the control with which you want to associate it and then do a Paste (CTRL+V).

I am struggling with moving controls in Access forms and one thing I am having trouble with is the relationship between label controls and field controls. When a field control is first added to a form, the label control and field control are attached. Apparently when you move the label independently of the field control, that attachment is broken.
How do I re-attach a label to a field control?
The book I have says there is an information icon at the upper left of the label control, and to right click on that icon to attach the label control to the field control. However, I don't find that information icon on any of my label controls.
