RE: [MS_AccessPros] Displaying all items in combo box when toggle is clicked

Steve

The column widths and list width go hand-in-hand as you have seen. Another little trick... say you want the description (second column) to show in the dropdown  but hide the bound column in the list. And you need to have the bound column sow in the combo's text area.
1. set the bound column to a width of something really small like 0.001".
2. set the description column to a workable width.

The user will see just the description in the dropdown. After an item is selected, the bound column will show. I use this for US states in address fields.

Hey Darrell, after you asked the question, I answered "Auto", then I went back in and changed it to a number and now I see what I wanted. Thanks for the nudge! Sometimes we get brain farts and over look the simplest things.

What is the List
Width property for the combo box?

I have a form with a combo box. I have a 4 in the column
count and 0";1";1";1" in the column
width. When I click on the combo box it only displays one
item. I have to scroll right in order to see the other
items. How do I get it to show all items at one
time when I click the combo box? Please help!
