Really?  There is an option to not show subforms in design mode? 

 

I don't get a back end SQL Server – been trying for years.  Work hasn't given me one yet.

Hi Liz, you should try working with such things when the back-end SQL Server is not reachable... That's unworkable ;-)

 

I would recommend using the option to not show the subforms in design mode (alternatively, only load the subforms at runtime when they are needed.)
