The problem is that I dont see it in the references.

Also, Is this connected to my problem with the Link table Manager?

Exactly. Utility.mda is left over from Access 97 or maybe 2000. I bet this is a database converted from one of those earlier versions. Just uncheck the reference, and all will be well. See also:

What happens if you uncheck the reference and try working on the database? I saw that years ago and that references wizards if I remember correctly.

Since today, when I open one of my databases, I get the message 'your microsoft offfice access database or project contains a missing or broken reference to the file utility.mda'. This file is not listed in my references and if I goto browse and try to add this I get a message 'an error occured and this feature is no longer functioning properly' I tried to repair the feature but it does not repair. it gives message 'cant add a reference to the specified file'.
