Have you considered a web-based front end using something like PHP?

I'm developing a multi-user database. Users are around the world, and don't all have access to the same shared drives. The plan is for the BE to reside on a sequel server, which they all can link to.

The issue is the FEs. I'm not sure how practical it will be to distribute FEs. That might have to be done by email, which requires users to manually copy to their own computers themselves. Are there other ways to this?

Would it work if I put the FE on a SharePoint site? What if they all used the same such FE instance?
