Doyce, I had a similar situation where some code was doing something on a different record and I realized that I had a me.requery on some event being triggered that was happening prior.

I agree! I'm using Access 2010, version 14.0.6129.5000 32 bit. These databases were originally created in older versions and have been upgraded over the years. I believe most of the forms where I have seen this are similar and have had queries as their record source. I have since started using tables as the record source and subforms for the data from linked tables.
