Re: [MS_AccessPros] Re: Medical database

Hi Bill
I figured that the Ephost was oversimplifying the job of putting the database on the web, but I thought I ought to get the database working on my own computer before I started bugging Ephost's support people to make the database work on my website.
Access was not Ephost's first choice (http://www.ephost.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=view&parentcategoryid=4&pcid=0&nav=0), but I have Access 2007 and I have to start somewhere.
Is there a template/sample database that is not as intimidating as Northwind Traders? Are there tutorials on line? Russ Farris

When your web host says "users will be able to use it as if the database resided on their own computer" the host probably means they can have access to the data. You'll have to build the web pages to fetch/display the data. That would require something like .ASP. Or maybe your host also provides web tools for this. I think GoDaddy has the tools and there are probably dozens of other hosts who do, too.
